A Winning Slogan for Republicans
“If you are white or Asian, if you are a man or a traditional woman, if you are straight, if you work for a living, if you believe in God, if you are any of these things, a vote for a Democrat is a vote against yourself.”
Right now, in early September, it looks as if the Democrats will have a blow-out win in September. The Republicans are saddled with dissatisfaction over the economy, an unpopular war they are losing, and a President who wants to make the elections a referendum on himself while he posts stuff on social media that suggests he is losing his marbles. Will he soon announce he is re-naming himself President America? At least Biden was quietly senile.
If the Republicans want to win, and its never quite clear that they do, they need to shift the ground to Democrats’ greatest weakness, their embrace of cultural Marxism, aka “woke,” “DEI,” “Political Correctness,” etc. The Democrats carefully play cultural Marxism down around election time, but they still embrace their proxy where and when they are in power.
My proposed slogan reminds voters that when Democrats win, everyone who is not a member of one of their “victims groups” gets screwed. That includes a large majority of voters. Why would that majority vote for a Democrat? Only because Republicans do not constantly remind them that a vote for a Democrat is a vote against themselves.
The rise of the “Democratic Socialists” in the Democratic Party only makes a Republican run against cultural Marxism more appealing. The Democratic Socialists combine the old, classical economic Marxism of the Soviet Union with cultural Marxism. That is a real witches’ brew most Americans will not swallow — providing, again, that Republicans tell them, over and over, that is what Democrats will force them to do. Anyone who spits out either variety of Marxism will be labelled a “Fascist,” or a “Nazi,” and be “canceled” so they cannot get a job. In Stalin’s Soviet Union, if you showed the slightest sign of dissent, they took away your meal ticket, without which you could not buy food. Democrats want to do the equivalent to non-Marxists now.
At present, the Republicans are letting their enemy choose the battleground. If they continue to do that, they will lose. But they have the resources (though perhaps not the guts or the brains) to turn that around, to make the Democrats fight on the unfavorable ground of Marxist ideology. Time, however, is running short. If the Republicans do not shift the battlefield soon, it will be too late. Can an elephant move quickly? Yes, but not if it’s asleep.
So, Republicans, take the slogan I suggest here and run with it. A young friend suggested a trailer that would appeal to his age group. Someone is undertaking remakes of the Harry Potter films, and the new versions are dull, drab, and gray. Tell the Harry Potter fans, “That’s what happened when Hogwarts elected a Democrat.” Two months out from the election, the Republicans could use some magic.
